How VHP Bio-Decontamination Works
Vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP) is a validated, standard bio-decontamination method in modern pharmaceutical manufacturing. A complete cycle distributes VHP vapor across the surfaces of an enclosed space — isolators, pass boxes, RABS, cleanrooms — and can be developed and validated to a repeatable ≥6-log reduction target; hydrogen peroxide decomposes into water and oxygen, with residual concentration reduced to a specified safety threshold after aeration.
Fenggu's VHP generation modules are built directly into isolators and pass boxes rather than added on afterward. Cycle time, injection rate and related process parameters can be controlled through predefined recipes, while VHP distribution and microbial reduction are confirmed through cycle development and validation.
Biosafety Airtightness Performance
In BSL-3/4 laboratories and other high-containment processes, airtightness is the last line of defense. Fenggu's airtight doors, biosafety pass boxes and isolation valves are all pressure-tested with high-density EPDM seals resistant to VHP, formaldehyde and chlorine dioxide. How do I choose between a Mobile VHP Room Bio-decontamination Unit and an HVAC-Integrated VHP System?
It mainly comes down to the size and number of rooms to be treated. A mobile unit suits a single, smaller space where flexibility to relocate matters. For multiple rooms or a large cleanroom area, an integrated system distributes VHP through the HVAC system, which can give better uniformity, repeatability and lower long-term labor. Tell us your room count and floor area and our engineers can help you decide.
Can equipment be customized to our existing facility and process?
Yes. External dimensions, materials (such as SUS304/SUS316L), the control system, VHP concentration and cycle parameters can all be adjusted to your process and facility conditions. The HVAC-integrated system is also available in 1,000/2,000/3,000 m³ and other capacities.
Do you provide installation, commissioning and validation support?
Yes. We provide on-site installation and commissioning, operator training, and can support your IQ/OQ validation work with the relevant technical support and documentation.
